I gotta be honest, I'm never great at this question in new jobs when they ask you to stand up and tell everyone about yourself. Mainly because I doubt anyone in the room actually cares. But anyway...
I'm a 26 year old living in Cleveland, OH. During my free time I'm sure I spend way too much time watching shows repeatedly on Netflix as well as movies (the office is the most frequent offender.) I play bass guitar and love all kinds of music, my favorite band being a punk and ska band called Less Than Jake. I love stand up comedy.I also enjoy a good beer and people watching at bars and the mall.
I've been interested in health and fitness since about high school, and did gymnastics in middle school, but I didn't get really serious about it until after I left the army with a knee injury.
I started out like most young men interested in fitness, spending an hour or two everyday doing pushups and crunches and running too much, always trying whatever new Arnold esque body builder workout was in that months muscle and fitness. I made some progress, but not very much due to my overall lack of general fitness knowledge and complete ignorance of the importance of recovery.
I've been studying fitness for about 9 years now, and in the past couple years I feel like I've really started to get it down. After years of trial and error. But then again I'm sure a few years from now I'll look back at this and once again claim I didn't know what I was doing.
But you have to experiment to see what works for you and what you enjoy.
I started this blog to share my passion with others, and hopefully hand down some advice and tips that has worked for me that will help others live a healthier life and get the body they want.
